Kaizen approach to personal development

Kaizen is one of those words being thrown around in management and I find it helpful in life. It roughly translates to "continuous improvement" or as designers call it, the iterative process.

For those that are fortunate in our industrialized civilization, basic necessities for survival is no longer a daily concern. With longer lifespan, the unit of measurement for success isn't counted in days but years. To win in the long run, it takes a kaizen approach. An iterative approach to life. We need strategies to win the war—a system that allows for incremental progress towards a long term goal. In a world where progress isn't measured in days, it may be best to invest in ways to improve each day.
