Today, I was told this over a meeting. I don't quite understand it or grasp the concept entirely so I will ask myself questions and the answer might just slowly demystify itself.

Where can I get the company's hat?

First, I have to learn the company's language called "KPIs" and be fluent in it. If you don't speak it, they won't let you wear the hat. Spend time with those that speak KPIs and you might one day be granted permission to wear the hat.

What does the company's hat look like?

It's mass produced and readily available to employees. It's materials isn't expensive but requires a lot of materials called "data" and are created by deliberate craftsman called "analysts". Though its, cheap and available, it's not a popular piece of fashion.

What will I see if I wear the company's hat?

It let's you see the world in more depth much like an Augmented Reality headset. It will teach you how things work and more importantly give you insights into why things work the way they do.
